A local senior student athlete just received his first collegiate offer.

Camden Fairview offensive lineman Xavier Thrower received an official offer from Arkansas Tech University recently. Thrower posted the news to social media earlier this week.

Thrower saw time as a sophomore in five games before becoming a full time starter for the Cardinals his junior year. According to maxpreps, the 6'2, 245 tackle has tallied 12 pancake blocks throughout his high school career. During this year's All Sports Banquet, the Camden Fairview Football coaching staff voted Thrower as "Most Improved."

This summer, Thrower has attended several camps including Ouachita Baptist University, Arkansas State University and Harding University. He volunteered his time to work as an assistant coach along with other Cardinals during the South Arkansas All Star Football Camp. The well-versed Thrower is also an alternate for the All Region band, a member of the National Honor Society, a member of Gentleman Excelling Now for Tomorrow's Success (GENTS) and an Honor Roll student.
