Little Rock Parkview sends four seniors to power conferences

There was a full house on hand to watch four Little Rock Parkview senior football players put pen to paper Wednesday as a part of the opening day of the national early signing period.

Running back Cameron Settles and quarterback Quentin Murphy signed with the University of Arkansas, wide receiver/running back Monterrio Elston signed with Kansas State and safety Omarion Robinson signed with

Oklahoma during a ceremony at Parkview.

"It feels surreal having all this support here," Settles said. "To finally get it done and have it official and in writing, it feels real, and I can finally feel comfortable now."

Settles (5-10, 195 pounds) is the No. 84 running back in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 10 player in Arkansas.

"They hungry to win," Settles said of the Razorbacks' coaching staff. "I feel like I'm going to come in there and I'm going to have that same attitude, that same hunger. So I'm ready to put in work with them."

Murphy (6-1, 205), who is expected to move from the quarterback position in college, is rated as the No. 47 overall athlete and the No. 6 player in the state by 247Sports.

"I chose Arkansas because of the love and the trust with coaches," Murphy said. "You know they've been on my tail since the ninth grade. (Offensive coordinator Bobby) Petrino being back made a bigger impact for the offense."

Elston (5-8, 180), who is expected to play running back in college, is listed as the No. 98 running back and No. 12 player in the state. Being undersized, Elston's recruiting lagged behind his teammates despite being one of the most productive players in the state the past two seasons.

Kansas State was his first scholarship offer on Oct. 11, 2023. The Wildcats likened him to former running back Deuce Vaughn (5-5, 176), who was born in Fayetteville and starred for them from 2020-22.

"I feel like they know how to use me the most," Elston said. "I feel like I'm going to do good there. It's a good fit for me. The way they run the ball, the way they scheme, I feel like they're going to use me very well."

Robinson is the most highly-touted player of the group, being ranked No. 252 overall in the 2025 class. He is the No. 23 safety and No. 2 player in the state.

"Oklahoma is a different place," Robinson said. "Every visit I went on, it just felt like home. My family, they like it up there. ... I feel like I'm going to have a chance to compete for a starting spot."

The four signees and their Parkview teammates now turn their attention to Friday's Class 5A state championship game against Farmington. Settles, Elston and Robinson said they are looking to complete a threepeat, while Murphy is looking for his first state title after transferring from Joe T. Robinson.

"We knew when they were younger that they were going to be really good players, but you never know that's going to be like this," Parkview Coach Brad Bolding said. "We're really proud of them. They've worked really hard to get to this point. We're excited about Friday now. We get to focus on the state championship game."
