The Corner Stop officially opened this week in downtown Camden.

The new restaurant, owned by Debbie and Ed Winters, has replaced Kaboom on 100 West Washington St. and features a bakery and deli.

After a soft opening at the end of November, the restaurant officially opened its doors on Monday.

The Corner Stop is one part New York-style deli, Ed's NY Deli, which serves breakfast foods and deli sandwiches and one part bakery, The Cookie Jar, which boasts a variety of baked goods.

Debbie Winters said she hopes to also have the store sell other small grocery items to help accommodate future residents of the apartments which are being renovated in the area.

Winters said they have had a good opening week and have been busier than expected.

Business hours are from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Winters said they wanted to keep the hours early so they could be active in the community.
