Ouachita County Sheriff's Office put out a news release on Monday alerting residents to a homicide investigation and a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
The release said, "On December 15, 2024, dispatch received a call from a reporting party, who stated they had entered a residence and discovered Charles Purifoy deceased.
"The Ouachita County Sheriff's Department is treating this case as a homicide. The investigation is active and ongoing, and further information will be released as it becomes available."
The release goes on to say, "A substantial reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) involved."
