Camden Police Department dispatched officers to Smoke Shop on Cash Road in Camden last Wednesday following a report of theft.
According to the police report, three black males entered the store wearing all black with black masks and an employee said, "They had a strange demeanor as they walked around the store and exited after a few minutes."
The report said the two store employees returned to their normal work routine, "when two of the male suspects reentered the store and one stayed outside to watch the door."
One employee reported returning to the front of the store where the report states, "She noticed the two males had reached over the display and were taking out the cartridges that were in the display case. Once she confronted the males they fled from the store with the merchandise in hand."
CPD Officer Payton Potter said in the report, "I watched the surveillance footage and observed three black males wearing all black including a black mask over their face enter the store and began walking around the store. The subjects exited the store with nothing in their hands. Not long after, two of the subjects reentered the store, while the third subject stood guard at the outside of the door and held the door open for them so they can easily get out of the store."
According to the report, the manager told officers on scene a total of 12 vape cartridges priced at $39.99 each were stolen in the incident. The estimated total value of the merchandise taken from the store was $479.88.
At the time of the report, suspects were unknown and no arrests had been made in connection with the incident.
