Police raid nets multiple felony, misdemeanor arrests

According to a press release from the Camden Police Department, "an enforcement operation" was held on Friday, Nov. 15 resulting in the arrest of an unknown number of individuals.

The CPD "news release" from current Interim Chief Royce Carpenter, was put on the CPD Facebook page just after 9 p.m. on Friday and said, "the enforcement operation" was held with cooperation from the Camden Housing Authority and included "approximately 26 officers with the Camden Police Department and the Ouachita County Sheriff's Office."

The "enforcement operation" began at around 5 p.m. on Friday and covered both the Fort Lookout and Lincoln Center properties run by the CHA. During the "operation" law enforcement could be seen completely blocking the entrances and exits to the Lincoln Center property.

In the press release it states, "A number of arrests, both misdemeanor and felony were made," and continues with, "individuals are still being processed and more details will be released as the arrest information is collected."

No further information has been released from the CPD following the incident.
