Magnolia---The Camden Fairview Cardinals (4-2, 2-1) never trailed in its 33-7 defeat over the Magnolia Panthers (3-3, 1-2) last Friday.

In a game that is always "heated" and full of penalty flags, CF took control after its defense forced a turnover on downs at the CF 19 yard line. Up to that point, the Panthers had matriculated the ball down the field and had even completed 5/5 of its first passes.

CF would face a third and 10 moments later but quarterback Darre'll "Juney" Atkins Jr rolled left and found Trent Haygood on a deep crossing route and the later was able to break a tackle and keep his balance on the way to the end zone for a 67-yard touchdown to cap the 5-play 81 yard drive. Haygood added the PAT to put CF ahead 7-0 with 4 minutes left in the first quarter.

The Cardinals defence's speed was on full display as the Panther would attempt to find different way to get outside the tackles but would ultimately punt on the three and out.

Haygood fielded the ball at the 19 and found a seam through the middle of the coverage and raced to the endzone for another score. The PAT was no good.

That would be the only scoring for the rest of the half as the Cardinal offense was still able to move the ball but were stopped on back to back possessions on fourth downs inside the Magnolia 5 yard line.

CF received the ball to start the second half but fumbled just passed midfield. The defense would again rise to the occasion and force a punt.

CF would have two touchdowns called back on the next possession before a Justin Frazier five yard run would count for six. CF attempted a two-point conversion that was broken up by the Panthers.

The Cardinals forced another turnover on downs near midfield and was closing in on another score before Magnolia's Kaleb Roach intercepted a pass in the end zone to mark the third time the Cardinals failed to score in the red zone on the night.

CF nose guard DeKayson Torrence sacked Titus Nelson and then Ronald "Buck" Buckhanon came up with an interception on the very next play.

The visiting team would go back to the ground and Frazier shot up the middle untouched for the 14 yard TD. CF failed a two-point conversion from the Panthers' 23 yard line after a couple of penalties.

Early in the fourth quarter, tensions began to raise after a sideline warning was called against Magnolia and an official appeared to be restrained by fellow officials from exchanging pleasantries with someone on the Magnolia sideline.

Frazier would find the end zone for the third time on the night with a nine yard run with 11:29 left in the ball game. Atkins ran in the two point conversion to give the Cardinals the 33-0 lead.

Xavier McHenry high pointed a Panther pass and picked it off at the CF 30. From there, the Cardinals rotated in its reserves and Magnolia added a score with just over a minute left in the ball game.

It was a career night for senior running back Frazier as he would finish with 119 yards on 18 carries with three touchdowns. Haygood finished with 283 all-purpose yards. Atkins passed for 145 yards and rushed for 61 yards on his way to completing passes to six different receivers.

CF's offensive line was dominant in the trenches and played a vital part in the Cardinals ground game. DeMarion "Red" Robinson added 58 rushing yards in fourth quarter. Brodie Dow and Jaden Porchia also contributed to the Cardinals rushing attack which resulted in 407 total yards on the ground.

The defense was outstanding for CF holding the Panthers to only 183 total offensive yards - 80 of which came on a long run in the final minutes against reserves.
