1. What will you do to serve the needs of your constituents?

As someone born and raised in this district, I understand the unique needs of our community. My commitment is to listen, engage, and be an advocate for the values we share. I will focus on improving our schools, ensuring access to healthcare, and enhancing our infrastructure--especially our roads and bridges. My goal is to represent the voices of all, ensuring transparency in government decisions and working for a brighter future for everyone in District 96.

2. What do you see as the most pressing issue facing Ouachita County?

One of the biggest challenges in Ouachita County is the need for economic development and job opportunities. Many families are struggling, and we need to create good-paying jobs that will keep our young people here. We also need to address infrastructure issues to support growth--better roads, expanded broadband, and healthcare access will make a significant difference for both businesses and families.

3. What is your answer to continued funding of economic development?

Economic development is essential to building a stronger, more sustainable future for Ouachita County. I believe we should prioritize local businesses, invest in workforce training, and provide incentives for small businesses to grow. We can't rely solely on big corporations; we need to empower the entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses that form the backbone of our community. Transparency in how funds are allocated and ensuring that all sectors benefit, particularly rural areas, is key.

4. How do you plan to help deal with the need for increased low-income housing in Ouachita County?

Affordable housing is a critical issue, and I plan to work with local leaders and state agencies to increase access to low-income housing. We need more investment in housing development, and I support policies that encourage building affordable homes while ensuring they meet safety standards. Partnering with nonprofits and looking at successful models in other areas can help us provide housing options that meet the needs of families in Ouachita County.

5. What do you see as the most pressing issue facing South Arkansas?

South Arkansas faces multiple challenges, but one of the most pressing is the lack of access to quality healthcare, particularly in rural areas. People shouldn't have to travel hours to see a doctor or receive treatment. We need to expand healthcare services in our local hospitals and clinics, and I will fight to make sure rural areas are not left behind when it comes to health and well-being.

6. What is your answer to continued funding of economic development in South Arkansas?

Economic development in South Arkansas needs to be balanced between attracting new businesses and supporting our existing local industries--whether it's agriculture, manufacturing, or retail. We need to invest in workforce development and infrastructure, like expanding broadband and improving transportation routes. We must make sure that our young people have opportunities here and don't feel the need to move elsewhere for jobs. Transparency, sustainability, and long-term planning will be the cornerstones of my approach.
